  • What is Run Mate by Core Lean Léman?
Run Mate by Core Lean Lake Geneva is a relay race (2 to 9 runners) around Lake Geneva for 2 days and one night. But before being a race, Run Mate by Core Lean is a group adventure.
  • How do relays work?
Put all your Mates in a van (or two cars if you don't have a van) and drive them around 218km around the largest lake in Europe! There will be 26 relays in total, between 4 and 15 km each, which will be around 25 km per Mate (if there are more than 8 of you) with varying degrees of difficulty depending on your organization. Only 1 runner is on the course at a time while the other Mates rest, encourage the runner or take on the challenges! While the runner is on the course, the van must go to the next relay point to wait for him. In fact, the Mates only have telephone contact with the runner
  • How to organize yourself for the relays?
FREEDOM: this is the key word of this concept. You can organize yourself however you want. A runner can run only one relay during the entire race. But a runner can also run 2, 3 or 4 relays in a row if they feel capable. There is not a maximum or minimum number of relays to be completed per runner.

  • Is Run Mate by Core Lean Lake Geneva a closed road race?
No, no roads will be closed for the race. You take paths, paths and sidewalks and a minimum of roads will be crossed. When you have roads to cross it will mainly be on pedestrian crossings. The few times this is not the case, marshals (from the organization) will be present to help you cross.
  • Is the route more trail or road?
70% of the route will be on the road, 30% on paths or trails.
  • I don't run a lot, is the Run Mate by Core Lean Lac Léman right for me?
YES Absolutely! As it is a free organization you can run a single 4 km section or you can run a lot more if you feel like it. This will automatically result in non-classification (DNF) of the team but the team will still be allowed to finish the race.

If you are too early on the communicated time, the organization reserves the right to stop a team at a relay point for an indefinite period in order to ensure the proper management of flows on the route and to respect health rules in force.
